The 6th edition of the International Delft-FEWS User Days will be held on the 3rd and 4th of November 2010 in the Deltares Office in Delft, the Netherlands. This meeting is the yearly opportunity to meet and discuss with the Delft-FEWS User Community, the Deltares / Delft-FEWS Project leaders, Support & Maintenance staff, the IT and Development teams. Besides presentations about Operational (Warning/Forecasting) Systems from users all around the world, the latest developments within Delft-FEWS will be shown. In break-out sessions detailed discussions and demonstrations will take place. Please put a reservation for these dates in your agenda and we will keep you posted about the programme later this year.

Ook dit jaar organiseert Deltares een bijeenkomst voor gebruikers van Delft-FEWS, HYMOS en MATROOS. Deze dag zal plaatsvinden op donderdag 10 juni bij Deltares, Rotterdamseweg 185 te Delft (www.deltares.nl)

Net als vorig jaar zijn op deze dag ook de gebruikers van MATROOS uitgenodigd. We zullen u informeren over onze visie op de mogelijke maar ook gewenste samenwerking. Initiatieven als Operatie Storm bieden mogelijk zelfs kansen voor u en uw organisatie. We zullen u laten zien dat – wat de verkiezingsuitslag op 9 juni ook zal worden – u met de huidige stand van de techniek al heel goed kunt samenwerken. SAMEN WERKEN hebben we dan ook als thema van de dag gekozen..

Uiteraard hebben we verder weer een aantal interessante presentaties van enthousiaste gebruikers en brengen we u op de hoogte van de laatste ontwikkelingen op het gebied van Delft-FEWS en HYMOS. Het middagprogramma voorziet in aparte sessies per gebruikersgroep. Zoals inmiddels gebruikelijk is, willen we ook graag uw mening horen.

Bij voldoende belangstelling organiseren we na afloop een lopend buffet. Wilt u zich hiervoor meteen opgeven bij uw aanmelding.

Wij zien u graag op 10 juni te Deltares in Delft!

Hierbij kondigen we aan dat de volgende Delft-FEWS gebruikersdag op donderdag 10 juni 2010 zal worden gehouden. Vanwege het succesvolle concept zal ook dit jaar de dag weer gecombineerd zijn met de gebruikers van Hymos en Matroos. De dag wordt bij Deltares op het kantoor in Delft gehouden. Nadere berichtgeving over het programma volgt.

Op woensdag 17 juni 2009 aanstaande organiseert Deltares (Rotterdamseweg, Delft) de Nederlandse Gebruikersdag HYMOS/FEWS. Op deze dag zullen relevante ontwikkelingen en plannen betreffende HYMOS (ochtend) en FEWS (middag) aan de orde komen. De nadruk ligt op de Nederlandse applicaties en gebruikers van beide systemen.

This week saw the official kick off meeting of the new Delft-Fews product managers. Astrid Janssen will be coordinating the efforts of the development team while Gerben Boot will be ensuring the support and maintenance of existing systems. This exciting change in the way Delft-Fews is managed dubbed "FEWS Forward" will bring new efficiencies in our development and research and allow us to further improve the systems of our exiting partners. We wish Gerben and Astrid every success in their new role and look forward to a successful 2008 for Delft-Fews!
