To join the OpenEarth community request a free username and password by sending an email to the OpenEarth team. Please provide an 'institutional' email address, not a hotmail-type address. This account is also valid to get the XBeach software and documentation repository, please cc Dano Roelvink. We provide a password within a few working days. The username-password combination allows you to become either of two user types:

OpenEarth user

You can scroll https://repos.deltares.nl to find a repository of interest. OpenEarth provides the following repositories:

With only your favorite internet browser (IE, Mozilla, Chrome) you can now scroll through the repositories and download individual data files or tools you like.

To download all files in a subset of a repository at once (e.g. the full set of essential OpenEarth matlab functions: https://repos.deltares.nl/repos/OpenEarthTools/trunk/matlab/), you need a special free program called TortoiseSVN. Relevant explanation on TortoiseSVN is given in the OpenEarth developer section below.

OpenEarth developer

OpenEarth developers not only use the available code but also contribute to it. To do this efficiently a number of developers tools are available. Please indicate whether you want to be a developer. We grant everyone write access upon request. Follow this link to learn about the five easy steps to become an OpenEarth developer. All steps are also explained in an openEarth Tutorials: repository usage.
