An article in AGU's EOS of March 2010 gives the proper arguments for and is reporting on the Community Approach to Earth System Modeling from a US perspective. Also with Dutch input (Alexey Voinov, ITC Enschede).

So, it's not really Dutch input. I have working relationships with him and most of the other authors (Cecelia, Scott, Chris, and James) of this paper. You may also be interested in the new integrated environment modeling HUB (http://iemhub.org/) supported by EPA that will be launched at iEMSs 2010 early July.
